Good memories at Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium.
Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium is a family-friendly tourist spot where you can have a wonderful time. There were many families like us there. And you can have fun all day long. The business hours of this place are 9:30 am through 5:30 pm. It takes 22 minutes by subway from Nagoya station. We visited thereafter we spent a night there. The hotel where we were taken care of is called “&SHARE Nakamura Park''. Even though we took enough time for breakfast, we were able to get to the aquarium at 10:30 am. Due to the COVID-19, all of the indoor shows were canceled. There were only The Dolphin Performance Show and The Orca Training Show. The Dolphin Performance Show was going to be performed at 11 am, so we went straight to the hall. Although there were already a few people taking good seats, we were able to have relatively closer seats to the front since it was a weekday. When the Dolphins Performance Show started, it began to rain hard. People who had seats where the rain hit left the show. But the show kept on performing. Dolphins kept jumping even in the hard rain. The orca section is located at the back of the dolphin’s pool, and to avoid the crowd, we were asked to see the Orca Training Show from the seat of the Dolphin Performance Show. We could see the dynamic jumps of the orca from a distance. If we were able to see that jumps from close, it would be mouth opening, but there was nothing we could help. After the dolphin and orca shows, we went to get lunch. After that, we headed over the south building where penguins and fish are. The catch was a flock of sardines at the Kuroshio pool. The way they swim was completely synchronized. At the pool of sea turtles, there were so many of them swimming. But when we arrived there, our child was deeply asleep. Penguins, of course, were also deeply asleep. The penguins' section is one of the catches of this Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium, so we will make some strategies for the next time.
